Trail Running Events in the Blue Mountains

Six Foot TrackCalendar month MARCH

The Six Foot Track is a 45km trail stretching across the Blue Mountains from the Explorer's Marked Tree, near Katoomba, to the Jenolan Caves.
The marathon started in 1984 and follows the length of the entire trail.The race is a not for profit event and all profits are donated to the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service who man the aid stations on race day.

UTA - Ultra Trail Australia.  Calendar month MAY

Ultra Trail Australia is the world's 3rd biggest trail running event and Australia's premier 100km trail running event, held in the World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains National Park. It was previously known as The North Face 100 and also includes a 11km, 22km and 50km distance. UTA 2024 dates are 16 - 19 May 2024. If you are running this event our cottage is only 500m from the start and finish line.

HOUNSLOW CLASSIC — Blackheath  Calendar month SEPTEMBER

The Hounslow Classic is a weekend of gnarly and spectacular trail racing which encompasses the best that Blackheath, and the Grose Valley Wilderness has to offer.

Synonymous with brutal climbs, steep technical terrain and jaw dropping valleys, runners traverse along the tops of sheer sandstone cliffs, dive deep into canyon trails passing through ancient landscapes, and ascend rocky peaks with 360 degree views of the chiselled Grose Valley.

Narrowneck Night Run Calendar month NOVEMBER

The Narrowneck Run is a splendidly scenic and refreshingly straightforward trail. Runners simply follow the fire trail from the main gate to its terminus at Clear Hill and then return. With no significant junctions or deviations, it's the perfect way to immerse yourself in the beauty of this route.
